A mysterious stranger in outlandish Edwardian garb defaces a Pre-Raphaelite painting in the National Gallery. Then a guest at the exclusive Savoy Hotel is fatally bitten by a marshland snake. Over the next several days, an outbreak of increasingly bizarre crimes will hit London—and, fittingly, come to the attention of the Peculiar Crimes Unit. In this all-new collection of truly unusual crimes, a sequel to the bestselling Mammoth Book of Bizarre Crimes, Odell and Donnelley tell the extraordinary stories of criminal acts far stranger than any fiction, including the murder of Italian fashion designer Gianni Versace by spree-killer Andrew Cunanan and the killing of intern Chandra Ann Brand: Little, Brown Book Group.

This book is generally easy reading and can be entertaining, the problem I have though is it doesn't really cover truly bizarre crimes. It's almost entirely about murder and, while there have been plenty of bizarre murders committed, the ones included in this collection are largely mundane domestic incidents - there are some Victorian poisoners and serial killers to /5().   Sheep theft, forging a £2 bank note and stealing wheat are just some of the bizarre crimes for which people have been executed in Cornwall – .
